Do you know the next Green Wedding Giveaway winner?
Clay Hill Farm’s annual wedding contest that encourages engaged couples to explore the parallel between a commitment to each other and a commitment to the Earth, is officially underway in year four with a call for nominations. Engaged couples that are making a difference in the world may be nominated for a chance to win a complete, all-inclusive, summer Maine wedding at Clay Hill Farm. Since the contest’s initial launch in 2008, the Green Wedding Giveaway has grown in sponsor support and giveaways, but remains true to it’s original message; We are all green in some way, so pick your shade and shout it to the world. “Our contest is about encouraging green connectedness by celebrating couples in shades of green, all shades of green,” said Jennifer Lewis-McShera, Clay Hill Farm’s senior event coordinator and founder of the Green Wedding Giveaway. “This year’s Grand Prize wedding and judges awards are rewards for couples that are already making a difference in the world. Celebrating real people making a difference is the heart and soul of this project.”

Couples may be nominated, or may nominate themselves, to be entered into this year’s wedding challenge. Nominees will be contacted by Clay Hill Farm and asked whether they choose to accept the nomination and be entered into the finals. Couples choosing to pursue the Grand Prize wedding reward and judges’ awards will be asked to answer four questions about their unique green shade, one of which asks for a creative submission to punctuate their story. The nomination & submission phase of the contest will run through January 2012. Public Voting for all finalists will take place in the month of February. Grand Prize winners and judges’ awards will be announced the first week of March. The Grand Prize all-inclusive summer Maine wedding for up to 75 guests at Clay Hill Farm will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2012.
